Did You Know...

... that the Golden Knights had their most successful USPA Nationals in history?

US delegation for 2012
posted Nov 6th, 2011 - The last two 10way rounds were still completed at the USPA Nationals 2011, and Arizona Airspeed managed to catch up with Team *@#!? to claim the silver medals in the last Formation Skydiving event this year. The Golden Knights took and maintained the 10way gold medal position from the beginning to the end.

This made the USPA Nationals 2011 the most successful national championships for the US Army delegation ever since the current 10way and 16way formats were introduced, and it goes even further back in history. The Golden Knights take back home to North Carolina the gold medals in 8way, 10way and 16way and a silver medal in 4way. In addition, the female lineup qualified as the US national team in 2012.

The Golden Knights are still short of the record that Airspeed set in 2000 and 2001 winning all four Formation Skydiving events at the USPA Nationals. This may give the US Army team still a goal for the future in the USA...

Airspeed 16way preparations
Fact is that the Golden Knights will represent the USA with two teams at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2012 in Dubai, while Arizona Airspeed competes in 4way. The complete athletic side of the US delegation for 2012 was featured when all the award ceremonies for three of the four Formation Skydiving events were over. Arizona Airspeed, the Golden Knights 8way lineup and the female 4way lineup were called to the stage by USPA Director of Competition, Jimmy Hayhurst.

The latest NSL Reality TV video features each of the three teams with one of their best rounds at the USPA Nationals 2011. The NSL News will surely follow up with a closer look at the US delegation for 2012. The same video begins with the 16way preparations for the final round. It was a very tight competition, and Round 6 would bring the conclusion. NSL-TV uploaded the first five rounds of both top contenders on 3 November 2011. The Golden Knights had a 1-point lead going into Round 6 and secured the gold medals after another highscore in the last round.

One more NSL-TV video of the USPA Nationals 2011 still needs to be uploaded, and it is a live NSL Talk with SDC Rhythm XP after the end of the competition and ceremonies. However, the review of the competition will also continue with many more videos of the actual meet jumps, thanks to courtesy of USPA and Skydive Arizona.
