Did you know that Crystal Coast offers a new scenic backdrop for the world championships? posted: Aug 9th, 2024 It has happened a few times in the history of FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving since 1985 that the International Skydiving Commission (ISC) of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) selected a scenic hosting site for the event. Teams and competitors usually visit skydiving centers or airports where the logistics and facilities for a skydiving competition are naturally available.
The FAI/ISC delegates often don't have a lot of choices, as the selection and assignment of the hosting site happens after the completion of a bidding procedure, which defines high-quality standards... (more)
Did you know that Echochamber Oceanside will be ready for the outdoor world championship? posted: Aug 8th, 2024 Swedish 4-way teams did not keep up with last year's participation at the national outdoor championship, as Denmark and Austria did. Did you know that Austria has an open 4-way slot for the world championship? posted: Aug 7th, 2024 The Austrian Outdoor Nationals 2024 brought back together five teams who were on last year's leaderboard, and three additional 4-way teams generated the average participation at Austria's national outdoor championships. The absence of 2023 bronze medal winner Slow Motion allowed Black Mantis to move back up to a medal position, even though this year's Black Mantis average (11.0) would have won the 3rd place in 2023. Black Mantis had outscored... (more)
Did you know that Sequenz won in Denmark after a last-minute substitution? posted: Aug 5th, 2024 Denmark's national outdoor championship attracted 12 teams to this year's event, four in each of the three NSL categories (AAA/AA/A). This increased the 4-way participation in Denmark by two teams from 10 to 12. Organizers and participants were happy with the outcome, as well as with the completion of all ten scheduled rounds.
Sequenz, Denmark's national 4-way team of the past years, did not have much opposition and walked away with their 3rd national championship outdoor title since the comeback in 2019 that the NSL News covered comprehensively on 29 June 2023. However, three of the four AA... (more)
