The NSL News story on
22 July 2008 reported already how the British national 4-way team in the female category,
Bodyflight Storm, made a strong statement with the 19.2 average after six rounds at last weekend's Southern California Skydiving League competition in Elsinore.
The team's videographer, Gary Wainright, provided the video of Round 4 (7-E-14) where the top contender for the
World Meet 2008 scored 21 points, the highscore for this round on the complete AAA Class leaderboard last weekend.
In fact, Hannah Betts (Center Inside), Claire Scott (Center Outside), Sarah Smith (Point) and Kate Stephens (Tail) did not give any other teams many opportunities to win a round. Storm posted the highest scores in rounds one, two, four and six. Only
Sebastian Tempest (Chris Ash - Tail, Kris Byrne - Center Inside, Thiago Murradas - Point and Ari Perelman - Center Outside) of the
Florida Skydiving League managed to keep up with the British national team in two rounds. Tempest tied Storm's 15-pointer in Round 3 and even won Round 5 with a 17-pointer.
Bodyflight Storm is now 17 days away from the first competition jump in Maubeuge and is obviously very well prepared.
