It is almost a fact by now that the meet will not be completed after ten rounds. Patrice Girardin has all teams of all events on stand by at the dropzone, and each jumpable weather situation will be used. From here on, each jump could be the last one of the competition. The teams may consider this in their game plans.
The wind was sometimes so strong that the team village was blown away in pieces, literally. Nathan Polis took a few photos of the damage, and some teams don't have a home any longer today. The other teams accommodated the situation and offered help by sharing space with the homeless teams.
The NSL News coverage of the FAI World Meet 2008 is brought to you with the help of: |
Gary Smith and Shannon Pilcher took the time to visit the NSL News yesterday, and it happened at an interesting time. The crowd in the hangar was just watching the live judging of Round 6 in the 4-way Open Class. The two coaches were watching their teams on the screen, Norway Arcteryx (Gary Smith) and Canada Evolution (Shannon Pilcher).
The situation as the reigning 4-way world champions who are not defending the sword was discussed, as well. Finally, the NSL News also wanted to know how the future looks for both world champions - as active competitors. The answers come with the video of the live interview, which can be viewed by clicking here.
Last not least: the Fun Flag is not really flying being in the British tent...
