The rules for this indoor competition included an event specific special feature. Each competition draw has one sequence of only random formations.
The judges had an "easy" time at the second World Challenge in 2007 when XL posted a 44-pointer for A,G,K,P,M. That changed quickly with increasing indoor training and the progression of the teams.
The standing record for the fast round at Bodyflight Bedford is a 66-pointer that Perris Fury posted in 2010. That's almost two scoring formations per second of working time and hard or impossible to evaluate with regular viewing speed.
The new NSL-TV video clip features the fastest sequences with the highest scores since 2007. The first three sequences feature the highest scores in 2007 and 2008, posted by XL (44), Arizona Airspeed (45) and Sky Panthers Barkli (45). Then the TOP 10 of Super Scores begin with 57-pointers and cumulate with Fury's 66-pointer in 2010.
The sequence in 2011 (H,M,Q,K,A) was a fast one too, and NMP-PCH Hayabusa almost tied Fury's record number.
However, the TOP 10 teams in 2011 combined "only" for an average of 52.3 points, which shows that the World Challenge 2010 had the faster sequence.
The video clip with the ten fastest performances in history shows the 2010 sequence seven times and the 2011 sequence only four times. Perris Fury managed to squeeze the only 2009 number into the TOP 10 of Super Sequences, a 59-pointer for A,C,E,H,K.

Paul Mayer has discussed the topic with teams and competitors and now weighs the options whether to continue with the format of the previous events or follow the official IPC rules for the competition draw.
He plans to leave the final decision up to the teams and competitors and has asked the NSL News to provide input by polling the audience.
The results of the new World Challenge 2012 Poll will determine whether there will be another Super Sequence this year and in the future or not. The poll is open now, for participants and for the whole online audience.
Votes will be accepted until February 4th, which will give Paul Mayer and the participating teams enough time to work out the logistics if changes become necessary. January 31st is still the deadline for the discounted registration fee.
