It is different compared to other outdoor meets of the past though. The battle takes mainly place between two different teams: Arizona Airspeed and NMP-PCH Hayabusa. Aerodyne Aerokart, with three reigning 4way world champions plus one reigning 8way world champion, does not show yet what the team has done in the past. The lack of training before the meet shows its results, as Airspeed and Hayabusa seem to be on top of their performances.
It is an incredible duel after France fell out of this top competition in Round 5. Airspeed has won four rounds so far, Hayabusa the other three, one tied with France. Airspeed had the lead in Round 1 and Round 2, Hayabusa in Round 3. Airspeed took it back in Round 4 and kept it in Round 5. Hayabusa took it back in Round 6. Airspeed won Round 7 and is back up by two points. Arizona Airspeed has lost seven points so far, NMP-PCH Hayabusa two and France eight.
Skydive Spain Satori had a slow start with alternate Steve Hamilton yesterday. Satori was more in synch this morning and won the first $400 skin with the 23-pointer in Round 6. The team members in DeLand promised to share the money with original Tail Aaron Faith who missed his trip to Florida.
The DeLand Norgies won Round 7 after handicap. They also have an alternate in the Tail slot, Solly Williams. The Norgies are once again impressive and have loads of fun. It will be interesting to see how Thunder will deal with the amateur scores when the team joins the meet with Thomas Hughes filling the slot tomorrow. By the way: Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders would be in 5th place and four points ahead of the Norgies if all AAA Class teams were on the same leaderboard.
