Did You Know...

... that new SCSL meet videos bring back memories of last year's NSL Championship?

posted Oct 1st, 2008 - NSL-TV continues with more videos of the Southern California Skydiving League September meet in Perris. Fury's two faster rounds were already featured earlier. The complete Round 1 of all five teams was uploaded with the last story on 23 September 2008.

All videos of the second round are now available on NSL-TV. Perris Fury's 19-pointer was actually a 21-pointer before event judge Steve Miller deducted two points. The NSL-TV audience has the opportunity to look for the infringements. Steve Miller is a former Elsinore GT member and has a very sharp eye that he now uses for a new generation of USPA judges.

Perris Jimani and Perris Momentum both attended their 4th meets of the 2008 season. This means that they competed at each of the Southern California Skydiving League competitions this year, either in Perris or in Elsinore.

Jimani finished with the highest 2008 average of 10.0 after the six rounds in Perris. Momentum maintained the performance level of the year and tied the team's highest score for a single round with a 7-pointer in Round 3.

Jimani's 2007 lineup (Jim Earman, Judy White, Chris Farina, Uli Stuewe, with Nik Daniel on camera) is still the defending champion in the AA Class after winning the NSL Championship 2007 in DeLand with a 10.0 average after three rounds.

Perris Momentum took the second place in DeLand after serious troubles with the lineup due to the wildfires in California. Craig Babb eventually competed with Nick Grillet, Josh Hall and Rusty Lewis and won the silver medals with a 9.3 average.

Perris Fury members guided Jimani and Momentum through the NSL Championship 2007, and Fury was not able to compete with their own lineup. The NSL Shugar Cup went with Tempest to Skydive Sebastian.

Both teams competed with their original lineups at the SCSL September meet, which was one of the NSL Playoffs 2008 events, and qualified once again for this year's NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2008.
