Did You Know...

... that Joey Jones once again competes with Black Majick and anchors the NSL News?

Tough creeping: Black Majick
posted Apr 5th, 2012 - Paul Mayer, host of the World Challenge 2012, has the same entertaining surprise for the audience that he offered last year in the Rookie Class competition. He has once again a Black Majick lineup that performs the belly flying sequences on the back. The only difference is the fact that his team has moved up into the A Class.

The NSL Reality TV camera captured the team during their preparations for a training session and then filmed the Black Majick in the flying chamber. Preparing the jumps on the creepers is not easy as those are built to be used by belly flyers. However, the Black Majick members wanted to use the engineering tools and mastered the creepers well.

Black Majick member Joey Jones has lived at Bodyflight Bedford for a year, together with his wife Lena who works there as a physical therapist. He and Paul Mayer are the backbone of the back flying team. Joey Jones also anchored the first NSL Talk from Bedford with an introduction of his recent activities. He will continue with his updates for the NSL News throughout the competition.

Chris Farina and Uli Steuwe
The NSL News also met the complete Perris Wicked lineup for the first time. The new team project that the NSL News introduced earlier, with Annie Peterson filling the currently open Point slot, had scheduled a training session on Thursday afternoon. The NSL Reality TV camera recorded parts of it.

The complete former Perris Fury is in Bedford, as well. Josh Hall competed with Arizona Airspeed, Christy Frikken is player coach for Perris Wicked, Chris Farina has joined SDC Rhythm XP, and Uli Steuwe attends the World Challenge 2012 with a US pickup team, Rabbit Restraint. Uli Steuwe has finally left his shoulder problems behind and said that it feels good to be without pain. He is the only Fury member who has not committed yet to a new serious team project.

The teams will begin with their official 3-minute training sessions at 6 PM. The competition draw takes place tomorrow morning as a part of the opening ceremony.
