Did You Know...

... that it's a horse race in the female 4way category?

Polaris member Ellen Burchardt with her Flyboys
posted Apr 6th, 2012 - There are quite a few interesting moves going on at the World Challenge 2012. The Blue Rebels Family from Greece came out of the Rookie Class starting block like a race horse and could not follow up. UK team Fiasco is the new leader. Polaris members Ellen Burchardt (Ellen's Flyboys) and Sissel Maria Finnseth (Aviatrix) also have an additional race in this competition class with their second lineups. Ellen is winning so far...

UK team Raykipo, last year's winner of the Rookie Class competition, is now in 1st place on the A Class leaderboard. Paul Mayer and his Black Majick backflyers, including NSL News anchor Joey Jones, made the same move from 2011 to 2012 and are in 6th place of the 9-team field. NSL-TV will follow up later with Black Majick videos.

Another UK team, Hyrrokkin, leads the AA Class competition, together with DNOUT from Italy. Last year's A Class winner Kinetix from Ireland is in 4th place and in striking distance for a medal position.

Strong comeback for France in Round 2
The competition in the female 4way category is a horse race after Round 2. ISB Air Remscheid benefitted from a 2-point deduction for the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and outscored Just4Fun by a point. Result is the 1st place after Round 2, together with the French team. The British ladies are one point behind. Perris Wicked is working hard to keep in touch with the teams in the medal positions and lost a point in Round 2.

Joey Jones provided a quick summary after Round 2 before the NSL Reality TV camera followed the AAA Class top teams back into the flying chamber. Aerodyne Aerokart had an impressive comeback after the devastating Round 1 with the 7-point deduction. The French world champions shook off the blow and delivered a 31-pointer in Round 2 that outscored Arizona Airspeed by two points after a 1-point deduction for Airspeed. France is now back in 3rd place, tied with XL.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa is getting better and better. The sole highscore in Round 2 put the Belgians alone in 1st place with a 4-point advantage. It is an impressive performance so far, and Round 3 did not look any worse. The slow 3-point sequence will probably not change much on the top of the leaderboard. The videos are now available.
