Did You Know...

... that the Fun Flag has been flying since the completion of Round 4?

Still wondering: Jeremie Rollett, here with Dennis Praet
posted Apr 6th, 2012 - The sequence of Round 3 was a slower one with three blocks, and not much would change on the top of the leaderboard. NMP-PCH Hayabusa completed once again the highest number of points within working time, as the Belgian team has done in each round so far, and also posted the highest score after judging for the third consecutive time. However, Belgium lost one point, Arizona Airspeed two, and Aerodyne Aerokart now had two clean rounds without a point deduction.

It is quite amazing how it is possible that the French team was so "out of control" in Round 1 and could then recover so quickly without giving up the top speed at all. That's what national coach Jeremie Rollett is wondering about. He still tries to figure out what happened in Round 1 when one judge marked 11 points for infringements.

The French team outscored Airspeed by three points in Rounds 2 and 3 after falling eight points behind in Round 1.

Paul Mayer with the Fun Flag
The Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders had to give up the 1st place after a 2-point penalty in Round 3. Germany's ISB Air Remscheid is still without a penalty and has now taken a 1-point lead. The question is whether the young German team will have the nerves to keep the top position from here on forward. It is still the same horse race, as the top three teams are only two points away from each other.

Former ISB Air coach Gary Smith is also competing with Switch while he is supporting Hayabusa's quest for the top position. His team was still ranked on the female 4way leaderboard after the competition had started, due to an error with the setup. Some competitors of the female 4way competition were wondering who this team was in the middle of the female leaderboard.

The Fun Flag has also re-appeared after it was last flying at the World Cup 2011 in Germany. Bodyflight Bedford host Paul Mayer has found a good spot for it, and the complete Fun Flag story will follow later. It has been in interesting journey ever since it was seen the last time in Germany.
