The NSL News mentioned earlier that another controversial issue occured when the UK team was granted a re-flying session in Round 7. It went by almost unnoticed since the flying session was squeezed in out of the usual flying order of the teams. The Just4Fun score for Round 7 went from 21 to 24, wich was brought to the NSL News attention later on.
The NSL Reality TV video of Round 7 shows what was going on in the flying chamber, and Tarnya Hollis' trouble with the helmet did not even catch the attention of the NSL News during the flying session. However, the review shows clearly that she has a a problem with the helmet. It is not the visor that causes the trouble, the helmet seems to be loose as she is trying to make adjustments.
Pete Allum mentioned later, in an NSL Talk session that is still to come, that this was a safety issue that could have interrupted the whole competition for a while if the helmet had flown off. The best thing to do is leaving the flying chamber to secure the helmet or any equipment and then re-enter or not.
Tarnya Hollis and Just4Fun completed the flying session, scored three more points in the re-flying session and won the competition. The 21-pointer would have placed the UK team 2nd, one point behind the French team after ten rounds. There was a disapproving reaction in the audience when Just4Fun was called to the stage for the awards, and the new NSL Reality TV clip includes the ceremony. Peace came when Just4Fun presented the Fun Flag on stage. But that's another story...
