Did You Know...

... that the FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando begins to focus on outdoor meets?

Ari Perelman with a group of FSL Tunnel Kickers
posted Apr 22nd, 2012 - The April Tunnel Kicker of the Florida Skydiving League at iFLY Orlando took place on the Tuesday of the week when the World Challenge 2012 drew the best 4way tunnel teams in the world to Bodyflight Bedford in the United Kingdom.

It did not hold back the newer generations of 4way competitors to attend the monthly event. Ari Perelman managed the FSL April Kicker, together with several other experienced coaches, and he also collected some footage for the NSL News this time.

The April event was a part of the preparations for an upcoming indoor competition that iFLY Orlando had planned for later in April. The maintenance schedule for the facilities eventually interfered with the event plans, and the first indoor competition at iFLY Orlando will take place later this year.

Participants of the FSL April Tunnel Kicker
The FSL April Tunnel Kicker was also the last indoor event before the outdoor season of the Florida Skydiving League was supposed to have its first meet this weekend. Naturally, the focus of the April indoor training was also on preparations for the first FSL meet.

Several participants of the FSL Tunnel Kicker had used the previous events to connect with others and form the first lineups for the FSL 2012 season. Two of those lineups are trying to post some scores at Skydive City in Z-Hills this weekend despite the inclement weather conditions almost everywhere in Florida. Teams at Skydive Miami could not get in the air at all on Saturday and try again on Sunday.

The Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 in DeLand was not a part of the Florida Skydiving League season, which begins for all local and regional teams with the first meet in April. Goal is to match most of the other schedules of leagues around the USA and the world. The next FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando is scheduled for May 1st and will focus even more on the preparations for the FSL outdoor meets.
