Did You Know...

... that the FSL May Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando revealed breaking team news?

Participants of the FSL May Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando
posted May 2nd, 2012 - The first meet of the Florida Skydiving League 2012 season was completed on the April 21 weekend, and several participants of the monthly FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando posted their first outdoor scores this year. Last night, it was time again to get together for more indoor training at the May Kicker, and most of the outdoor competitors showed up for the free flying time and the free coaching, organized once again by Ari Perelman.

The participants of the first outdoor meet enjoyed more flying time together than the other visitors at yesterday's event. Ari Perelman explained that the teams deserve additional attention, as they represent the Florida Skydiving League on the monthly leaderboards. However, several other participants of earlier Tunnel Kickers and new flyers were also a part of the latest event and are in the process of forming additional linueps for the upcoming meets.

There were also former competitors at yesterday's May Kicker who are planning their comeback after taking a longer break, including Bonnie Young and Jonathan Bojar, who competed with Team DiZaster a few years ago.

Gilles Dutrisac with Start 4 at the USPA Nationals 2011
The 1.5 hours of flying time were split up into three 30-minute sessions, and the participants of the FSL April Meet had the first half hour all for themselves. Coaches Bob Byrne and Rodney Cruce provided the guidance as player coaches. Rodney Cruce made it to iFLY Orlando just in time for his flying session after rushing from Orlando International Airport to the wind tunnel.

Gilles Dutrisac, former Sebastian Tempest member and silver medalist in the Advanced Class with Start 4 at the USPA Nationals 2011, was back as a player coach, too. He had once again interesting team news. Start 4 continues with three of last year's team members, and Fastrax founder John Hart is joining the 2012 lineup after a long break from 4way competition.

Gilles Dutrisac said that Start 4 has a very intensive training plan for the 2012 season and the following two years. The NSL News will follow up with more information very soon.
