Did You Know...

... that Denmark completed the first 2012 outdoor competition this week?

Veyron and Whooops at the training camp in DeLand
posted May 4th, 2012 - The scores of the South African Nationals 2012 have now been replaced by a new leaderboard from Denmark. The NSL News had published an update from the Scandinavian country on 24 March 2012. A few of the introduced teams then attended the World Challenge 2012 and now the first outdoor meet in Denmark.

Another team from Denmark was brought to the attention of the NSL News audience even earlier. Veyron, one of the three Danish project teams, had a training meet with Whooops from the Netherlands during a training camp in DeLand at the end of February. The scores were posted with the story on 1 March 2012.

Bodyflight Voluntas at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012
Veyron did not make the trip to Bedford in April and posted the next 2012 scores this week at the small 10-round outdoor competition in Denmark. Two other Danish teams competed in the AAA Class, none of them was a part of the national 4way project. Bodyflight Voluntas had completed the meet combination of Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 and World Challenge 2012 and took a break. Contrails was in DeLand for a training camp the week before the competition and had posted the first 2012 outdoor scores at the season opener of the Florida Skydiving League.

Each of the three project teams has now posted scores at two meets. Veyron's 12.7 average after ten rounds confirmed the scores of the training meet with Whooops and promises a healthy competition between the two project teams behind the official national team Bodyflight Voluntas.

Airplay at the World Challenge 2012
Airplay, in 2nd place of the AAA Class competition this week, was also introduced with the story on March 24th. Player coach Kjetil Nordin had promised that his team would move up quickly into the AAA Class competition this year and has now arrived there. Airplay started in the A Class at Denmark's national indoor championship last year, competed in the AA Class at the World Challenge 2012, and is now a AAA Class team.

This week's competition was the team's first one in the AAA Class, and the draw included four sequences with memory and slot switchers. Airplay managed to tie Veyron's scores in two rounds (Rounds 1, Round 7), and both had memory sequences.
