Did You Know...

... that eight teams are kicking off the NPSL 2012 season?

Event coach Solly Williams
posted May 19th, 2012 - The new meet weekend is in full swing, even though it was a slow start at Skydive Twin Cities where the Northern Plains Skydiving League teams kicked off their 2012 season. Event judge John Goswitz posted the first scores for the eight teams in three different categories, while coach Solly Williams worked hard to get them all ready and guide them through the meet day.

It was a slow day due to high winds that interfered after most of the teams had completed Round 2. The winds slowed down in the late afternoon, and the teams were back in the air for a few more jumps.

HTH has a new team name, and Cosmic Debris goes through the competition with the Lenstory film crew following the team members with their own cameras. There was enough time for interviews and collection of ground footage due to the weather situation.

The NSL Reality TV camera captured different footage at the same time. The Wissota Baby Beavers are visiting again. The NSL News audience may remember the young team from Wissota that brought a lot of additional fun and great vibes to the NPSL meet last year. The NSL News story on 3 October 2011 included an entertaining video clip that featured the Baby Beavers' meet adventures.

Last year's mascot and alternate, Jordan "Kramer" Ermer, is now an active team member, and his team is in the middle of an A Class battle for the 1st place in a 4-team NPSL field in this category. The Beaver approach is the same as last year, and the NSL News will follow up with an interesting travel story of two team members to Europe this year.

Acme is the only NPSL team in the AAA Class, and the lineup is identical with the Slipstream lineup of 2008.
