Did You Know...

... that Baby Beavers invaded Europe this year?

Wissota Baby Beavers lineup at the NPSL May meet
posted May 26th, 2012 - The NSL News is going back once again to last weekend's 2012 season opener of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. The story on 19 May 2012 had included the first part of the complete NSL Reality TV live coverage of the event, and the second part has now been uploaded.

It includes a casual debriefing in the video stadium with meet coach Solly Williams and shows how the NPSL teams and competitors deal with weather situations. The awards ceremony is also a very special part of the NPSL meets, and this one included quite spectacular fireworks.

Eventually, the NSL News also had the opportunity and honor to meet again with the Wissota Baby Beavers for a new NSL Talk session. The Baby Beavers caught the attention of the NSL News for the first time at last year's October meet, and the audience may remember that mascot Jordan "Kramer" Ermer was featured in a NSL Reality TV clip of this event.

NSL Talk with the Baby Beavers
Things have changed for the Baby Beavers in the meantime, while the team still has at least as much fun as a year ago.

Jordan "Kramer" Ermer is not the alternate any longer. He is now in the active lineup, and Josh Johnson is on the bench. The Beavers came back in the A Class with the new member and posted a new record average at the first competition this year. Josh Johnson was not sad at all and plans to practice his camera skills for a while. In fact, he also did not hesitate to fill an open slot for Bad Exit who were short a member after the first round.

The Wissota Baby Beavers were even very competitive in the overall 9-team A Class field last weekend and had a great 1-point race with another NPSL team, Plug It In Anywhere, for the 2nd place in this category. The Baby Beavers posted one sole highscore for a round and tied another one. DeLand Higgs Boson from Florida was too far away for both NPSL teams.

Baby Beaver Jordan "Kramer" Ermer also had a story to tell for the NSL News. He and his Beaver friend and team mate Joel Lenz traveled to Europe earlier this year and visited a few skydiving centers on their Beaver Tour. The NSL News had provided a few contacts before the trip. Here is the travel report:

"Joel and I want to extend a heart felt thank you for helping us put together our trip. We destroyed five European countries along our Beaver Invasion! We started with a few nights in Paris, then hit up Munich for two nights, drove through Austria, stayed in Interlaken for two nights, drove through Italy, stayed in Nice, stayed in Lyon, and finished off with one more night in Paris.

We visited Skydive Paranadon (closed), jumped at Skydive Nuggets, jumped at Skydive Switzerland (awesome!), and visited Skydive Gap (rain). Neither of us died, and only one of us got moderately hurt. Not a bad trip in all. Muchas gracias para la informacion! Hasta luego! Biber et Satan." Sounds like great fun and fits perfectly to the Beaver mission. By the way, here is the team's 2012 slogan: "Beavers like Otters".
