Did You Know...

... that Acme and Dallas Khaos XP know each other well?

Jérémie Rollett, here with Dennis Praet
posted May 28th, 2012 - The scores of the AA Class teams at the first Coupe de France 2012 competition have been added to the leaderboard. French national manager of Formation Skydiving competition, Jérémie Rollett, who is a reigning 4way world champion with the French 2010 lineup, confirmed for the NSL News that the French teams also applied the synchronized AA Class competition draw for the first time this year. It's a big leaderboard now, and scores from Finland will be added soon.

The NSL News still goes back one more time to the meet weekend of May 26th where teams from Germany, Lithuania, Texas, Florida and the Northern Plains posted their scores. The AAA Class leaderboard was a little bit confusing, which happens when the teams don't complete the same number of rounds at different locations.

Dallas Khaos XP at the Texas Shootout 2012
The overall leaderboard does not rank the teams by the total number of points to consider the potentially different numbers of rounds. However, even the average is not accurate enough, as the sequences for the rounds may have a very different degree of difficulty. The ranking of the overall leaderboard just offers a rough overview of all teams who competed in the same category, and only the scores for each round can really be compared accurately, unless teams completed exactly the same number of rounds.

All eight teams in the AAA Class completed five rounds, and the scores for the additional rounds are posted for informational purposes only. The total number of points after five rounds would result in a quite different leaderboard. The US teams would have taken the TOP 3 spots, and Airfix Fehrbellin would be the bridge between the USA and Germany, tied with NPSL team Acme in 3rd place.

Spaceland Lite from Texas would still be the leader, and Dallas Khaos XP took the 2nd place. However, the competition for the 2nd place was a very tight battle between the two US and three German teams. There was only a difference of four points between Dallas Khaos XP and Black Moon after five rounds.

Four Shizzle at the USPA Nationals 2011
The adjusted AAA Class leaderboard after five completed rounds also brought more light to a situation that did not catch the NSL News attention earlier. Texas team Dallas Khaos XP and NPSL team Acme were separated by three points, which is almost exactly the same difference that both teams had between each other after ten rounds at the USPA Nationals 2011.

Acme was Four Shizzle in Eloy last year and had only three members (Jon Arnold, Steve Blake, Aaron Hislop) of the Acne lineup. Anna Arnold missed the Four Shizzle bronze medal by three points, Karl Eakins was also on camera last year in Eloy.

Bill Rehm took Anna Arnold's slot this year. He competed with Foucast last year and finished 8th with a 10.6 average in the same category.

Foucast at the USPA Nationals 2011
Dallas Khaos XP ended up tied for 1st place after ten rounds at the USPA Nationals 2011 and missed the gold medals in the jump-off round.

Acme and Khaos both moved up into the AAA Class competition this year, and they could be competitive for USPA medals in the AAA/Advanced Class. Spacelad Lite, last year's winner who was in the top spot on May 19th, won the USPA Advanced Class gold medals with a 13.1 average in Eloy 2011.

However, Acme and Khaos both would also still be eligible for USPA medals in the AA/Intermediate Class. If they decide to try again in this category, then they would probably meet another team that posted a 13.0 average on the same May weekend in the AA Class, NPSL team Cosmic Debris...
