posted Jun 23rd, 2012 - SDC Rhythm XP is keeping a clean record as of the scoring progression, despite the challenging circumstances at the Midway Battle 2012.

All teams completed the missing two rounds today, which makes it a 10-round meet, and Rhythm finished with a 22.6 average. It's the highest meet average that the team has posted at an outdoor competition in the Rhythm history and beats the 22.4 average that the complete 2012 lineup posted at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012.

The challenging situation was caused by an injury of Center Inside Chris Farina at the beginning of the training camp leading into the competion this week. Former Arizona Airspeed member Craig Girard was available to fill the slot, while he was coaching his Dubai Asaar Red team at the same event.

Craig Girard must have done a perfect job filling the slot, even though he used to be the Center Inside for Arizona Airspeed. The ten sequences of this weekend's competition draw may have been a little bit faster compared to the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 in March 2012 in DeLand, which included four 3-block sequences.

However, there was no Super Sequence, and the 33-pointer in Round 7 (O,F,A,4) is simply the result of an excellent performance. Rhythm's lowest scores with Craig Girard were two 19-pointers. Chris Farina has no reason to feel bad after Craig Girard's outstanding performance as a substitute, and the former Airspeed 4way world champion can be proud of his work in the Center Inside slot.

The scores of Dubai Asaar Red confirm that the competition draws of both events were not too far from each other. The visiting team finished almost exactly on the same scoring level as in March. Dubai Asaar Red was facing their own challenge since the complete lineup was not available at Skydive Chicago.

Craig Girard had also filled an open Asaar Red slot during a few training days before the Midway Battle. However, Khalid Abduljalil of the Gold team was filling in for Khaled Alneyadi during the ten competition jumps.

The SDC Furies XP also attended their first competition of the 2012 season and followed the Rhythm example by posting the highest meet average in the team history.
