The NSL News mentioned earlier that teams and competitors of the Northwest Skydiving League and the Florida Skydiving League have added an internal indoor showdown to the monthly meet dates, which is similar to the Little Cloud Skydiving project for virtual outdoor meets.
The indoor option has a big advantage, as it is not relying on the weather. The outdoor season opener of the Northwest Skydiving League was completely weathered out last weekend. However, the NWSL teams and competitiors now have at least the opportunity to post some indoor scores until the end of the month.
The FSL teams and competitors used Tuesday's July Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando to post their first scores for the six sequences that the NWSL/FSL showdown for the month of July offers.
Ari Perelman assigned this week's assistant coaches Bob Byrne, Gilles Dutrisac and Kurt Gaebel to practice with different lineups and individuals.
The coaches aimed at getting the individual flyers ready to do their first 4way sessions in the last 30 minutes of flying time to include them in the competition.
They also used the formations and blocks that were drawn for the six July sequences between iFLY Orlando and iFLY Seattle for the 4way training with the other lineups.
After the first 60 minutes of indoor training Ari Perelman and his player coaches put together the lineups for the six sequences of the NWSL/FSL indoor showdown.
Then the six teams had three flying sessions each to show their best performance, which would be submitted for scoring.

The rules for the two new Rookie Class categories (Rookie A - Rookie AA) allow two player coaches to guide the new 4way flyers through the sequences. Only one player coach may be used in the lineups for the other four traditional NSL categories. Of course, there is also the option for a complete team to deliver one of the four sequences in the traditional categories.
The FSL/iFLY Orlando team for the July showdown with the NWSL/iFLY Seattle team consisted of Sarah Hernandez, Amanda Davis, Gilles Dutrisac, Kurt Gaebel, Ari Perelman, Bob Byrne, Matt Hilson, Sebastian Jimenez, Jon Agar, Keith Murray, Gary Fox, Joel Kmetz, James Hall, Quinn Lamb, Yvonne Saa and Jim Prohaska. The teams combined for a total of 84 points. The ball is in the NWSL/iFLY Seattle half now...
