Did You Know...

... that ISB Air Remscheid is back in outdoor action and ready for SkyQuest Germany 2012?

ISB Air Remscheid in DeLand February 2011
posted Jul 28th, 2012 - NSL-TV had featured an ISB Air Remscheid video of the annual nationwide 2way competition in Germany with the story on 29 June 2012. The German top contender for medals in the female 4way category at the World Meet 2012 was still missing Center Outside Sarah Hajooze for outdoor training and competition at that point in time.

The wait is over now. ISB Air Remscheid has completed the first outoor training weekend successfully a few weeks ago and is getting ready for more. It was the first time since March 2011 that the current lineup jumped from a plane. ISB Air Remscheid was able to resume indoor training much earlier and even competed with the complete lineup at the World Challenge 2012. However, Sarah Hajooze needed more time for her back to be ready for parachute openings and landings.

The outdoor training weekend went well enough for the team to get excited about the upcoming next training camps. ISB Air Remscheid had an indoor training session before the outdoor comeback at the team's home dropzone in Magdeburg and went back to their home tunnel chamber at Indoor Skydiving Bottrop last week. Another full week of outdoor training begins on Monday.

ISB Air Remscheid in Magdeburg July 2012
Sarah Hajooze's recovery and the ISB Air Remscheid comeback also puts the German national team on track for the engagement at the inaugural SkyQuest Germany 2012. ISB Air will be in Magdeburg all week for team training, free coaching and guidance for any skydiver who is interested in Formation Skydiving and introduction to 4way competition.

The training in Magdeburg will be done from the AN 28s that will be available for SkyQuest Germany and the Antonov Boogie all week long. The big AN 28 ramps allow comfortable exits for teams and small groups. They also make it much easier for larger formations to get the skydivers out of the planes quickly.

SkyQuest Florida winter action
SkyQuest Germany offers the same popular combination of 4way instruction, training and competition and large formations that SkyQuest Florida has applied for the last decade each November in Florida. SkyQuest Florida started at Fantasy of Flight and then moved to Skydive DeLand. SkyQuest Germany uses the great facilities of MD Skydive in Magdeburg and the AN 28 aircraft. Goal ist establish the same high quality event in the German and European summer schedule before SkyQuest Florida invites European skydivers for a winter vacation.

Original plan was to bring SkyQuest Florida and Kaleidoscope Dives organizer BJ Worth to the first SkyQuest Germany event. This plan eventually did not materialize, and the bigway fans will be organized by Dave Lewis who has been putting together great dives in Magdeburg at previous Antonov Boogies. Other experienced Kaleidoscope Divers, like Bernd Schmehl from Germany, will help to provide the same top quality that the visitors of SkyQuest Florida are used to.

The NSL News will cover the whole event live from Magdeburg, and NSL founder Kurt Gaebel will be available for any information about the international NSL Network. He also used to organize German 60way and 100way records while he was competing in the German 4way and 8way national teams in his homeland long ago and will be available in both areas of the event. The SkyQuest format has a history... The Antonov Boogie begins on the 21st of August, and the SkyQuest Germany activities kick in on August 23rd.
