Did You Know...

... that Paradox Kassel is the busiest outdoor team in Germany this year?

Ususal Suspects 2012 start in Bedford
posted Jul 29th, 2012 - The first scores of the weekend are coming from Germany where the skydiving center AERO Fallschirmsport in Kassel-Calden hosted the regional championship of Hessen.

Usual Suspects was the only team in the AAA Class and attended the team's second outdoor competition this year after launching the 2012 season at the World Challenge 2012. More AAA Class scores will be arriving from Texas this weekend.

Usual Suspects and AA Class team Paradox are the only German teams who have attended three meets this year. The German Nationals 2012 are next in August. The Usual Suspects were on the way to break the 14-point average through Round 8 in a relatively slow competition draw. Penalties kept down the scores, and an exit funnel in Round 10 had an additional impact on the meet average. Only a flawless performance at the national championships could move Usual Suspects close enough to the medal positions.

Busiest German outdoor team: Paradox Kassel
Only the competition draw of the AAA Class was exactly identical with the NSL sequences. Germany's AA Class draw is very similar and reduces the number of blocks to 12. The international NSL Network applies 16 blocks for the AA Class and only leaves the slot switchers and memory blocks out of the pool for this category.

France was the most recent country that synchronized the AA Class dive pool and competition draw with the international NSL Network. USPA's Intermediate Class is identical with the AA Class, as well, and was synchronized years ago.

Paradox Kassel, the only German team with three outdoor meets this year, actually competed with the German AA Class draw in June and this weekend. They also applied an A Class competition draw of the NSL Network at the first July meet in Kassel-Calden, the AERO Cup. The team's scoring overview below shows the correct sequences with the scores.

The difference in the A Class is not too significant either, even though this weekend's competition draw does not look very similar. Germany uses 11 of the 16 random formations. Five of them are exit formations. The NSL Network does not specify exit formations since each team has naturally the option to launch any formation for the exit and build the first formation of the sequence.

The selection of the blocks is even more similar. Germany uses seven of the eight blocks that the NSL Networks applies. Only Block 8 (Canadian T - Canadian T) is not in the German dive pool for the A Class. Germany does not have the Rookie Class category of the NSL Network.

The upcoming SkyQuest Germany 2012 includes not only an opportunity for German and European skydivers to get free 4way guidance and coaching by ISB Air Remscheid, the German national team in the female 4way category. The NSL will also be available in Magdeburg to introduce the complete 4way format that has been applied worldwide for many years, from bottom to top, and from recreational 4way Scrambles to world class and high profile competition.
