posted Oct 17th, 2012 - The NSL News goes back to the Danish Indoor Championship 2012 after more information became available. Airplay's player coach Kjetil Nordin mentioned a new AAA Class team in his earlier report, the CAE indoor experts of the Copenhagen Air Experience windtunnel.

Former DaneZ member Jesper Rasmussen is coaching the young team and provided more details and a photo of the lineup. He had six months to prepare the team members for the AAA Class dive pool beginnig from scratch, as none of the team members had any 4way knowledge and experiences.

The 13.6 average and 5th place at the indoor competition impressed even Airplay member Kjetil Nordin whose team finished in 4th place, as he gave CAE special attention in his earlier meet report.

Coach Jesper Rasmussen, who is also team videographer for Bodyflight Voluntas, was competing in the same meet, which featured another showdown between members of Denmark's former national linups (DaneZ, Bodyflight Voluntas). He was available as no team needs a videographer at an indoor competition.

He had another former DaneZ member in the VolDaneZ lineup at this year's indoor championship. Mikael Toft was his team mate until the World Meet 2006 in Germany where the DaneZ represented Denmark for the last time. Jesper Rasmussen and Mikael Toft joined forces with two former Voluntas members, Brian Gregersen and Flemming B. Andersen, who competed for Denmark at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk.

Former DaneZ members alone had challenged Denmark's new national team three times before. They outscored Voluntas at the Danish Nationals 2009, which was the first Voluntas year, and the DaneZ did not compete in 2010. Then two DaneZ members came back with two former Voluntas members in 2011. Voluntas had a new lineup too but still managed to win the national title.

The VolDaneZ did not compete at the Danish Nationals 2012, however, they had a strong lineup at the indoor championship and were ready to challenge Voluntas. The team members were disappointed when they saw that Voluntas was using full skydiving equipment to simulate outdoor conditions due to their preparations for the Mondial 2012, which is coming up pretty soon.

VolDaneZ reset their goals and were now aiming at the previous Danish indoor record average. The recent 21.5 average was slightly higher than the 21.3 average of Voluntas at the World Challenge 2010.

Both teams walked away from the indoor championship with positive experiences. The 18.0 average that Voluntas posted in full gear indicates that the team would have been on the VolDaneZ scoring level, while Denmark's national 4way team for the Mondial 2012 used the meet in a more realistic way on the road to Dubai. VolDaneZ member Jesper Rasmussen is now back on the Voluntas side where he will have to keep his team in frame for the judges in Dubai.
