Did You Know...

... that there is a 5-team race in the A Class at the NSL Championship 2012?

At least a competition draw: Gordon Hodgkinson
posted Nov 16th, 2012 - The second day of SkyQuest Florida 2012 did not bring much better weather to the Kaleidoscope Divers than it was on Thursday. The teams in training, including the French national 8way team Aerodyne Maubeuge, had no problems with the partly cloudy skies and jumped all day long. The bigway formations require much bigger holes and clear skies for safety reasons, and the Kaleidoscope Divers had to watch the teams make jump after jump while being grounded.

One 60way group made the planned warmup jump when there was enough space between the clouds. That was it for the day.

Kaleidoscope Diver Gordon Hodgkinson was seriously considering joining the 4way competition with a pickup team of bigway fans when he could not get in the air. He was a Satori White member this year and competed in 4way at the UK Nationals 2012 and also at the Irish Nationals with his team.

Sinner G with Helen and Vladimir Ursachii
It did not work out for Gordon Hodgkinson, as he had to be on stand-by for the Kaleidoscope Dives. However, at least he could connect with the 4way competition by pulling the letters and numbers for a meet round.

The team with the longest travel distance at this year's NSL Championship is Sinner G of the Northwest Skydiving League. The NSL News introduced the team earlier this year who has attended the meets of the regular NWSL season and also contributed heavily to the point collection of the NWSL - FSL indoor showdown between iFLY Orlando and iFLY Seattle. Helen Ursachii is Sinner G's Center Outside, and her father Vladimir Ursachii is also in DeLand for the Kaleidoscope Dives. He is a former Russian national champion in 4way.

The first scores of the the November competition were just uploaded by the FSL teams. The Sinner G members said that they recently completed their own tunnel session and that NWSL Director Deb Correia will provide videos and new NWSL November scores very soon.

SDC Rhythm XP's Steve Lefkowitz with Teiwaz
The NSL Championship 2012 now features an outdoor showdown between Sinner G from the Northwest Skydiving League and the Florida home teams. The A Class competition promises to be very tight and exciting. Two teams from the Midwest Skydiving League are also in the mix, guided by JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz, SDC Rhythm XP silver medalists at the USPA Nationals 2012.

SDC Flow and DeLand Higgs Boson are tied in first place after Round 1, and Sinner G only fell behind due to a bad exit. The NWSL tunnel experts will now get help with the exits from JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz and then catch up. SDC Force and Zunday will join the A Class competition tomorrow and challenge the other three teams.

Steve Lefkowitz filled an open slot for Teiwaz in the first round. The Teiwaz lineup will be complete on Saturday morning, and he will back to his SDC Force team for Round 1 in the A Class - if the weather cooperates...
