posted Dec 5th, 2012 - Yesterday's final update from the Mondial 2012 did not include the insights that NSL News anchor Joey Jones provides on a regular basis. He catches up in today's Good Morning From Dubai show.

The video clip was recorded when the Top 10 teams in the female 4way category were called to the boarding area. The first cut took place after Round 8, and only the best ten teams in each category are doing Round 9.

Joey Jones knows NMP-PCH Hayabusa very well after his years coaching the Belgian team. He lives in Bedford now and works mostly with the Swedish teams.

His wife Lena is from the Scandinavian country. Joey Jones' former DeLand Majik world champion team mate of 2004, Gary Smith, is working with Hayabusa now.

Rotor Out from Australia was the last team that made it into the semifinals in 10th place. The meet will most likely be over after Round 9 for the four teams behind Satori who are defending the 6th place. It is unlikely that the UK champion will give up four points, even though Round 9 has a fast sequence. Italy's 4way team Ex3mo is the closest challenger.

The competition between Canada and Russia is also well defined at the moment, and Evolution seems to take the second 4th place after the same finish in VFS 4way. Aerodyne Aerokart has nothing to do any longer than accepting the bronze medals at the end of the week. They will focus all energies on a possible French comeback in 8way.

And then again it becomes very interesting on the very top of the leaderboard. Round 9 has a sequence that NMP-PCH Hayabusa loves, as they have to perform it on a regular basis for their military CISM practice: three randoms and a block. On the other hand, they could not take advantage of the same situation in Round 2 and Round 7 where Arizona Airspeed matched the Hayabusa scores...
