Did You Know...

... that the Blovemberfest 2012 substituted for the Blocktoberfest?

"NSL/Blues Skies Mag Plaza" in DeLand
posted Dec 24th, 2012 - the Blovemberfest 2012 substituted for the Blocktoberfest

The NSL News interrupts the usual daily updates with another NSL Reality TV clip, which was recorded live but is not perfectly up-to-date at this point in time. It still fits to the occasion of a holiday as it features the annual celebration of the famous Blocktoberfest.

The Blocktoberfest takes place at the NSL/Blue Skies Mag Plaza in DeLand and was created a few years ago by the owners and managers of the small business operations that are located next doors to each other at 1665 Lexington Avenue.

It was not really the annual Blocktoberfest that was celebrated since the block party was late this year. It had eventually turned into the Blovemberfest 2012, as Nancy LaRiviere explains in the video clip. However, it still turned into the same celebration of small skydiving business with good neighbours, which has a similar meaning as the current holidays. The NSL News uses the opportunity to say Thank You to all participants and supporters for another great year of skydiving and wishes everybody Happy Holidays.

Blovemberfest 2012 in full swing
This year's Blovemberfest brought together most of the operators and managers at the small business plaza. It was actually quite interesting to realize that many of them are still not only active skydivers. Mike Truffer, founder of the Skydiving magazine and landlord for most of the businesses, has moved back into one of the offices in the plaza. He won the POPS 4way world championships this year with the US team in Brazil.

Nancy LaRiviere competed in Style and Accuracy with the US delegation at the Mondial Dubai 2012. Amanda and Brian Festi were also in Dubai for the USA to compete in Freestyle.

Teiwaz member and professional coach Robert Chromy provided the famous South African sausages that he has made for years and now professionally sells. The Blovemberfest may turn into the Blocktoberfest again next year, or it could also be a NewBlockYearfest next time, who knows? The plaza is empty now on Christmas, and it is time to leave. Happy Holidays.
