A total of 13 teams competed, seven in the AAA/Open Class and six in the AA/Intermediate Class. The field of each competition class included a team that can only perform in a windtunnel, due to the age of team members, Team Aeon and Team Future. The NSL News has already introduced both teams to the audience.
Team Future, with Kayla and Justin Tinucci plus Dan Perry and Rusty Lewis, took the second place in the AA/Intermediate Class. The new lineup had recently begun to practice more 4-way competition. Player coach Rusty Lewis has lifted the team performance from 8.6 at the World Challenge 2008 to 22.8 last weekend. Copying the NSL competition draw on some meet weekends this year obviously worked well for Team Future and prepared the young competitors for the tunnel competition.
Airspeed Odyssey seems to be well prepared for the upcoming USPA Nationals 2008 on home turf in Eloy. Odyssey finished ten points ahead of Perris Fury, apparently with a 31.4 average if the meet was completed after nine rounds. It would be the first meet average above 30.0 indoor or outdoor.
The Russian team will stay in Eloy and compete next week at the USPA Nationals 2008. This will give the outdoor event a very high-profile international atmosphere. New 4-way world champion Airspeed Odyssey, silver medalist France Maubeuge and the world class team from Russia will push each other once again at the end of an exciting 2008 season. Perris Fury and the Golden Knights will make the 4-way Open Class competition next week an extremely competitive event. The NSL News will be live on site and bring as much of the action to the audience as possible.
