Did You Know...

... that help with the scores came from Russia - and AZDW?

posted Oct 15th, 2008 - It took only a few hours until the leaderboard of the Gauntlet indoor competition in Eloy got its fix, at least in the AAA Class. The Russian team Black Cat heard the NSL News cry for help as a frequent visitor of the website and sent a copy of the leaderboard that is posted at the Black Cat website. Thanks to our friends from Russia and to the attentive 4-way community there.
Complete leaderboard in the AAA/Open Class
Black Cat 2008 lineup
The NSL News used the opportunity to grab a photo of the 2008 Black Cat lineup with the new member, Alexander Golovkin. Some other adjustments were also necessary, and the 30.0 benchmark still remains a target for another indoor meet in the future. The AAA/Open Class teams actually completed all ten rounds, which brought the meet averages back down to scoring levels of the other indoor meets this year.

Other than that, the new and complete leaderboard speaks for itself. Perris Fury outscored Airspeed Odyssey in two rounds and tied the world champions' scores in three more rounds. Black Cat won the round with the technically most challenging sequence (10,22,4) which was also the slowest round of the meet. Round 4 was in fact the only round where just one single team broke the 20-point benchmark - Black Cat. The Russian team also tied Perris Fury's highscore for Round 9 with a 35-pointer.

The NSL News coverage of the USPA Nationals 2008 is brought to you with the help of:
Complete leaderboard in both competition classes
Arizona Divewerkz
The completion of the leaderboard was great teamwork.

Arizona Divewerkz member and Arizona Skydiving League Director Annie Peterson contributed the last missing piece, the scores of the AA/Intermediate Class competition, round by round.

Her team was competing at the indoor competition and calls Skydive Arizona its home. She knew how to find the right people and made the effort, thanks Annie.

The NSL News audience will hear and see more of Arizona Divewerkz next week. AZDW won the USPA Nationals 2006 in the Advanced Class and now competes in the Open Class.
