The NSL News had sent press releases to the local media after a successful Thursday for the Kaleidoscope Divers in DeLand, and the FOX News 35 channel reacted quickly with the invitation to the live morning show.
The visit turned out to be a lively and interesting conversation with the host, Heidi Hatch. She had picked a combination of two different James Bond movies ("A License to Kill" and "A View to a Kill") for her own theme of this part of the morning show ("License to Thrill").
However, it surely was not Grace Jones jumping from the Eiffel Tower and landing the parachute on the moving boat on the river. Of course, it was stuntman BJ Worth who made the first BASE jump from the tower in Paris.
FOX 35 host Heidi Hatch asked him questions about his work for the many James Bond movies where he has doubled famous actors in skydiving stunts. The channel's website has posted the clip with BJ Worth and introduced it to the general public since Friday morning: "BJ Worth, the stuntman for most of the skydiving scenes in James Bond movies, visited FOX 35 to share his experiences doing stunts for the movies."
The conversation between host Heidi Hatch, BJ Worth and Kurt Gaebel eventually turned to the event in DeLand and explained to the public what was happening at SkyQuest 2008. The news channel played a variety of different skydiving clips of previous SkyQuest events on the backscreen while the conversation continued. An hour later, BJ Worth was back in the air with his Kaleidoscope Divers, while Kurt Gaebel prepared for the competition draw of the NSL Championship 2008 at noon. The NSL News will follow up soon with the usual event coverage.
