... that Round 1 of the NSL Championship 2008 features the four winning teams?

The first round of NSL-TV videos of the NSL Championship 2008 have been uploaded. The sequences of Round 1 are featured by the teams that won the competition in their respective competition classes.
Sebastian Tempest shows the AAA Class sequence. The meet began with an interesting combination of blocks that switched the front piece back into the original slots and gave the rear piece memory and a 12-point sequence.
Teiwaz Rhythm, aka Teiwaz Red, with Teiwaz members Rodney Cruce and Robert Chromy, plus CSC Rhythm XP members JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz, had actually the best start into the meet. The 19-pointer was the highscore for the round. However, Sebastian Tempest, previous owner of thew NSL Shugar Cup, took control over the AAA Class competition soon after and defended the AAA Class trophy successfully.
Perris Jimani was the defender of the AA Class trophy after winning the weather meet in DeLand last year. The new Jimani lineup at the NSL Championship 2008 had to complete all ten rounds this year and was facing tough competition by Florida team FSC Wind Damaged.
Jim Earman brought the trophy to DeLand and eventually took it back again to the west coast after a 5-point victory over the Lake Wales team. The NSL News will provide more details of the lineups and the competition with upcoming stories.
The AA Class competition was already interesting enough. However, it was nothing compared to the other two competition classes. Both the A Class and the Rookie Class meets were completed with a 1-point difference between the winners and the teams in the second places.
Mile High Mayhem had brought last year's Rookie Class trophy back to DeLand that the Colorado team won at the NSL Championship 2007. The identical Mayhem lineup had stepped up into the A Class this year and exchanged last year's trophy with the new one for the A Class.
Mayhem was behind Zero Tolerance Miami going into Round 10 and needed the best round of the meet to win again. The 15-pointer for the last round was Mayhem's highest score of the competition and turned the table at the very last second. The Zero Tolerance members were great sports after the most exciting A Class competition of the 2008 season.
It was not less exciting in the Rookie Class. DeLand home team Cold Turkey may not have expected such a tight competition as Carolina Groove offered it throughout the whole meet. Cold Turkey eventually worked out a 1-point lead in Round 7 and had to work hard to save it past the finish line.
Carolina Groove went a slightly slower pace than Cold Turkey but was almost flawless and clean throughout the whole competition. Both Rookie Class teams tied their scores in the last three rounds, and the DeLand team was very happy to end up on the top by one single point at the end. The NSL News will also cover more of the details in the A Class and the Rookie Class with the upcoming videos and more stories.
