posted Feb 12th, 2009 - Perris Moxie, the all female 8-way team lead by Perris Fury member Christy Frikken as part of the Fury8 project, has been together for three years. The line up has changed slightly every year but again sees six out of the eight team members returning for the 2009 season.

Perris Moxie was formed in 2006 and finished in 6th place with a 7.4 average at the USPA Nationals that year. Moxie lifted the scoring level to 10.2 a year later and posted the team's highest average of 10.4 at the USPA Nationals 2008.

Team leader Christy Frikken reported that Celeste Campo is leaving the team. She will be working together with another former 8-way competitor to put together another high-level group as part of the Fury8 project.

The new group will be unique, as Chrisy Frikken added: "It will have a Fury member ground coaching instead of jumping with the team. Other then the player coached status, this group will participate in the same way and with the same benfefits of any other Fury8 teams." She said that this new lineup is also looking for members with significant 4-way and 8-way experience.

Christy Frikken encourages interested competitors to join the Moxie lineup due to the team's group dynamics, as well: "Moxie has always had a great, fun, relaxed team dynamic, which is one of the reasons it has stayed together nearly intact for three years."

She added that the athletic performance has also been challenging and rewarding: "The team's average has steadily increased each year at the USPA Nationals, and if the early season warm-up session is any indication, it will definitely experience another boost in scores."
