Two members of the lineup of the past years, André Ferraz and Fábio Diniz, had brought Brazil into the international NSL Network in 2005.
At the same time, CTR Optimum also lifted the top level of 4-way competition in Brazil to new heights.
Brazil's last scores at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving were posted in 2001 before CTR Optimum attended the World Meet 2006 in Germany.
CTR Optimum with Pedro "Junior" Ushizima (Inside Center), Ziara Abud (Outside Center), Fábio Diniz (Tail), André Ferraz (Point) and Renato "Chubby" Acerbi on camera posted a 14.0 average five years later in Germany 2006.
The lineup never changed between 2005 and 2008, and CTR Optimum improved the team's performance and scoring level year by year.
However, the second international visit at the World Meet 2008 in Maubeuge brought results below the scores of 2006. CTR Optimum finished in 18th place with a 13.5 average.
André Ferraz and Fábio Diniz now provided the 2009 meet schedule and informed the NSL News that CTR Optimum will have a new lineup this year.
Fábio Diniz forwards his Tail slot to Daiton Ribeiro, and Renato Acerbi replaces Center Inside Pedro Ushizima.
André Ferraz and Fábio Diniz said that the changes "made all of us very happy." They said that Gordinho with his experience and enthusiasm will be a great contribution to the active lineup.
Daiton Ribeiro has also been in the early lineup of 2003 and 2004, and CTR Optimum welcomes him back, as André Ferraz and Fábio Diniz said: "We are very happy to have him back."
They added that the leaving team members will still be a part of the CTR Optimum family:
"Our dear teammates Pedro San and Fabio Diniz will be involved with personal projects in 2009, and they have our full support. After all, they are part of our family! We are very trustful that 2009 will be a year full of growth and great results."
