NMP-PCH Hayabusa's Center Inside David Grauwels was one of the many visitors who followed the event action throughout the whole weekend. He also posted his own greetings to the teams and competitors and commented especially the Barkli performance and engineering in Round 9:
"Did you have a closer look on the engineering of the Barkli round9?? Awesome, nice flying of the tail Vladimir Pavlenko Also noticeable in former rounds. I like the Russian style. Big congrats to Arizona Airspeed (not in top form yet, but they will) and the other teams as well, I've been following it using the refresh button. The huge amount of busts and faults concerns me a bit, but that's more a personal thing. Nice job with the updates and videos. See you all in Bedford!!"

Both teams wear helmets with different colors, which the Russian team has been doing for many years. Airspeed copied the idea to separate the pieces and piece partners by colors in 2011. None of the slots match by colors between both teams...
Hayabusa's Tail Roy Janssen also provided an update for his team that was not directly related to last weekend's event. Hayabusa is getting ready for the World Challenge 2013. It will be the first meet this year for the Belgian silver medalists of the Mondial Dubai 2012, and the results in Bedford will also define the starting point for most of the other top teams in the world. Roy Janssen had more good news for the Hayabusa fans:
Other good news is that we did our first two training days in the Bedford windtunnel after Dubai. Andy is slowly getting stronger again, but he will need some more time to be 100% fit. We did some little flying with our alternate Jeroen 'Bob' Nollet in February to get the dust off our jumpsuits. It was very good to start the 2013 season, and the break that we had also re-charged us mentally.
During the last two days we flew at an easy pace and worked mainly on block techniques to make it easy on Andy's body. In two weeks we go back and start preparing for the World Challenge. We are already looking forward to the battle with Airspeed and the French teams. We know we started late this year, and we feel a bit behind on training hours, but we are still confident and eager to compete again. Outdoor training begins in May in Empuria. And of course we keep working with Gary Smith in 2013."
