posted Mar 23rd, 2013 - Three teams from Russia competed at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013, which was the biggest delegation from this country in the history of the event.

World class team Barkli has been a topic for the NSL News many times, and the two other teams were also introduced by the NSL News with earlier stories, a.team4way on 17 February 2013 and Sunny Wind on 25 October 2012.

Barkli's battle with Arizona Airspeed was one of the most exciting parts of the competition, especially since a team from Russia has never been so close to any US national team. Sunny Wind and a.team4way had their own internal Russian competition and finished right next to each other on the Paraclete XP Outdoor leaderboard.

Sunny Wind did not win the competition and placed behind the two other Russian teams. However, the newest of the three teams won in another part of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship, the annual Shamrock Showdown Skins Game.

Paraclete XP sponsored a total of $5,000 for the Top 3 teams in the AAA Class ($3,000 - $1,500 - $500) and also put aside additional $2,000 for the Skins Game, $400 per round beginning with Round 6.

All AAA Class teams get their handicap after the first five rounds of the competition, according to the meet average at this point in time. From then on each team has the opportunity to win a round after handicap. All it takes is an extraordinary performance significantly above the team's specific performance level.

Sunny Wind did exactly that and at the right time on Saturday morning. The team's 18-pointer stood out as the complete leaderboard shows. It was also one of the four rounds where Sunny Wind won the internal Russian competition with a.team4way. The younger lineup still secured the victory after ten rounds mainly in Round 5 where Sunny Wind lost by 12 points alone. The World Challenge 2013 will eb the next stop for a.team4way.

Sunny Wind won with 28.93 points after handicap. USA CAN was shortly behind with 28.84 followed by Barkli with 28.55 points. Barkli won Round 6 before handicap with 27 points and took seven points back from Arizona Airspeed in this round.

Five different teams from five different nations won the total of $2,000 and the NSL News will follow up with all winners.
