Did You Know...

... that Germany was under water this weekend?

Germany under water

posted Jun 2nd, 2013 - Germany had two 4way meets scheduled for the weekend. The first part of the Nord Cup and the Northern German Championships were supposed to take place at two different locations.

Unfortunately, the European weather continues to make it very difficult for skydivers to get in the air, and the teams at the Nord Cup were able to complete only one round in the AAA Class. Germany was literally under water, almost all across the country. It was worse in the southern parts, and the Nord Cup took place in Hohenlockstedt, close to Hamburg.

Saturday was completely weathered out, and the meet management got the AAA Class teams in the air for one round on Sunday morning, even though the winds were blowing strongly. The meet was over at 10 am when the conditions became unbearable. Meet manager Marcel Bieg reported that the participants were compensated with a great party, but the footage of that event remains confidential: "We have party rules: No camera and postings after 10 pm..."
