posted Jul 21st, 2013 - This weekend's first scores came from France where the second meet of the annual Coupe de France was held at the skydiving center in Bouloc.

The French teams compete in the AAA and AA Class categories after national coach Jeremie Rollett synchronized the French intermediate class with the NSL Network last year. 13 teams competed in each of the two categories.

Nemesis Espoir Saumur took the 1st place on the French leaderboard. However, any lineups with members of the French national A- or B-Teams are not eligible for Coupe de France medals, and Nemesis Espoir Saumur competed as a guest team.

Damien Gouriou was in the team's lineup for the meet. The Sun Path Products NSL News had introduced Damien Gouriou on 9 February 2013 after he had been selected for the new French national 4way team. His own team was obviously not training, and he joined the competition for some additional 4way fun. He will soon attend his first competition with the new natonal 4way team and represent France at the World Cup 2013 in Banjaluka.

The French national 4way team in the female category will also compete at the World Cup with the new lineup.

Laurence Herve is back in the team after missing the Mondial Dubai 2012 due to an injury a few months before the event. She was the alternate for Nemesis Espoir Saumur this weekend.

The race for the 1st place of the Coupe de France is once again between the French Air Force team from Nice and the French 8way champions of the 80s and 90s who have been competing for Monaco in 4way for several years.

The annual battle between the Air Force team and Monaco began in 2007, and the former 8way experts have had the upper hand ever since.

Didier Boignon, Jeff Ronzevalle, Stephane Mattoni and Franck Vazille, with earlier members Laurent Hayot and Louis Robinot, have also won the Coupe de France several times over the years.

However, the Air Force team, this year with Grégory Patissou, Florian Denonfoux-Pourret, Edwige Bauer and Vincent Nore in the lineup, has come closer to the Monaco team year by year.

Finally, the Air Force team outscored Monaco for the first time at an outdoor competition at the French Nationals 2012.

It has not become any easier for the Monaco team, now under the new Vitalsea name, at the 2013 Coupe de France meets. The Air Force team has an advantage when it comes to faster sequences, as earlier indoor scores in the past years had indicated.

Monaco has won seven of the 13 rounds this year, and both teams tied the scores for two more rounds. The Air Force has won only four rounds, and two of them were the fastest sequences of each meet this year.

The total loss for Monaco was 16 points in those two rounds alone, and the Air Force team won both meets. Monaco Vitalsea has a problem...
