The AAA Class winner is coming from Texas, and Spaceland Lite took the top spot for the second time at the team's second meet. The Usual Suspects from Germany were only one point behind after Round 2 and finished with the higher meet average after six rounds (13.4) in Kassel.
Spaceland Lite posted the scores for the two rounds at Skydive San Marcos' annual Summer Showdown 4way competition.

Teams competed in three categories (Rookie, AA, AAA), with Spaceland Lite traveling the longest distance to post the AAA Class scores. Local skydivers formed the Rookie Class lineup of Woody’s Ringers.
The AA Class was the most competitive category in Texas, with home team Glitter Girls and two local pickup teams, FAQ and Daisy Dukes. Jen Illingworth said that a lack of a videographer for Daisy Dukes resulted in Meet Director Vic Krusi stepping into his second role for the meet: "He is to be thanked for being such a team player. When asked when was the last time he had videoed a 4way team he was heard to remark that it was 11,500 jumps ago, and he had taken the team out on exit. Thankfully for Daisy Dukes things were better at this attempt..."

All teams completed the first round before the clouds brought jumping to a halt. Jen Illingworth said that the meet still continued hours later: "A tantalizing patch of blue several hours later spurred everyone into a ‘NOW’ call, only Spaceland Lite was missing three team members who had gone for a run! Woody’s Ringers were substituted into Lite’s slot and four teams completed their 2nd round on Load 4. Lite returned to complete Round 2 on Load 5."
DZ management and teams tried to continue with Round 3, which resulted only in a plane ride to altitude and back. Jen Illingworth said that the good spirits still prevailed: "Everyone was delighted to have taken part in the annual 4way meet. It was also good to see 4way trainee judge Lori Mitchell learning the ropes from Henry Butler. FAQ’s proved that even though they were a pickup team, the practice at iFLY Austin had tuned them well – they placed 1st in AA scoring 9-pointers in both rounds."
Jen Illingworth added that the Daisy Dukes deserved credit for the best team outfits and the 5.0 average in 3rd place, and she also explained the name of the Rookie Class team: "Woody’s Ringers were named after popular local jumper Miguel ‘Woody’ Carrasco who died last month in a skydiving accident." She said that Woody's Ringers had a great first round and a less successful Round 2, which was forgotten quickly at the end of the day:
"Following the award ceremony with medals and NSL certificates, the Glitter Girls provided a veritable banquet of pasta dishes, which were washed down by some adult beverages and proved a fitting end to the day..."
