... that Fire wiped out the Swedish record average in 4way Women quickly?

AAA/Open Class awards at the Swedish Nationals 2013
posted Aug 8th, 2013 - Joey Jones recently updated the Sun Path Products NSL News from Prostejov in the Czech Republic, where his Swedish team Fire competed at the end of a training camp. The story on 22 July 2013 included the scores and Fire's competition videos at the Mondial Dubai 2012.

The article on 28 July 2013 followed up on the Fire results and put them in perspective of international 4way competition in the female category. The preview of the World Cup 2013 on 2 August 2013 then introduced the Banja Luka field of teams in 4way Women.

Joey Jones' update and feedback related to the progression of the Swedish national team made it sound like Fire might soon wipe out the national record average of 14.3 that the Swedish national team of 2001 posted at the world meet in Spain. It took exactly two weeks until it eventually happened.

New Swedish record average: Fire
Fire posted one more point to finish with a 14.4 average after ten rounds at the Swedish Nationals 2013. Sweden has a new national record in the female 4way category - 12 years later.

The new record average could quickly become history. Fire is now traveling to Banja Luka in Bosnia, together with coach Joey Jones. The Sun Path Products NSL News audience will have the pleasure to see and hear him anchor once again some of the NSL Reality TV updates of the World Cup 2013 action.

The 10-round competition at the Swedish Nationals 2013 ended with two very slow 3-block sequences. The draw included 20 of the 22 blocks in the AAA Class dive pool. Fire might have a new opportunity to improve the new record average next week.

A/Intermediate Class awards at the Swedish Nationals 2013
The new Swedish 4way champions are all winners at previous national championships, as Joey Jones explained. Gryttjom Volo was guided by Mathias Nord, who competed for the Norwegian world class team Arcteryx years ago. Joey Jones also provided a short summary of the competition:

"After one of the best summers in recent history, the first two days of the meet were hampered by rain. Only five rounds were completed in the first two days, but things were already starting to settle out in the open class. On the third day the weather finally cleared and everyone was ready for the first call at 6:30 am. Volo continued to dominate over RW5, while Fire secured the 3rd place with some excellent scores. In the Intermediate Class, a group of former Swedish military guys finished with a 9-point average to take the gold medals. Looking forward to seeing C-4 in the open category next year. It was a great competition and shows well for the future of Swedish Formation Skydiving competition."

Joey Jones out and back in next week from Banja Luka...
