posted Sep 6th, 2013 - The 4way competition at the German Nationals 2013 was just completed when the next meet began. 35 teams completed their first rounds at the ESL Championship 2013 in Moorsele, Belgium.

Teams from seven different nations have made the trip to Belgium this year, and it is no surprise that Germany is not represented. Belgium, Netherlands and United Kingdom have the largest delegations and the best chances to win the ESL Spirit. Belgium is the defending ESL champion.

It is a good race between the three delegations at the end of the first day, and it seems as if the major battle will be fought for the 1st place this year. Belgium was in a relatively safe place in 2012, while the delegations from the Netherlands and United Kingdom were separated by only one point for the 2nd place.

Two points separate Belgium and UK at the end of the first day, and everything is possible. Eclipse could easily win the missing two points by outscoring Creeps in the AAA Class. Aerodyne 4mula is only one point behind the 1st place in the AA Class and could hurt Belgium (Les Stunts) badly with a 4-point turn only in this category.

Czech team Zoonte has the expected strong position in the A Class competition. However, Equal Pay 4 Women is surely within striking distance and could also win additional two points by taking the 1st place. Cosmic Noise is scoring for Belgium at the moment, and Entropy could do some good work for the UK delegation in the A Class.

The pressure is on UK's Royal Navy team Sea Fury in the Rookie Class. The UK delegation needs the ten points for the 1st place in this category, and the Belgian Rookie Class lineup Jetmax is keeping up so far. There is great competition and a lot of calculating going on across all categories...
