... that AtomiX was the busiest German 4way team of the 2013 season?

Atomix with Nord Cup trophy
posted Sep 24th, 2013 - The newest leaderboard was generated with scores from Germany where the second part of the annual Nord Cup was scheduled for last weekend. The first part in June was reduced to one single round due to bad weather. This time, the six teams completed eight rounds at the skydiving center in Fehrbellin near Berlin.

The Sun Path Products NSL News had introduced the German 4way team AtomiX at the beginning of the European summer season with the story on 4 June 2013. It was just a few days after the weather meet in Fehrbellin.

It turned out that AtomiX has now become the busiest German team of the 2013 season. The young new team attended four meets with the same lineup and also won bronze medals at the German Nationals 2013 in 8way (Andrea Kleischmidt, Peter Ingenhaag), together with a few members of 4way team Pink Saulgau who finished right behind AtomiX in 4way, plus Dieter Kirsch, Steffen Schiedek, Henning Stump und Janine Tillenburg. Peter Ingenhaag (Inside Center) and Andrea Kleinschmidt (Point) even added the annual German 2way competition to their meet agenda where they placed 2nd of 50 participating 2way teams.

AtomiX Meeker exit
AtomiX was planning to get to the 12+ average with the new lineup in the team's first AAA Class year and did so three times, including the 10-round competition at the national championships. The 12.6 average last weekend is the team's best meet average and came after eight rounds in Fehrbellin.

AtomiX was also involved in the excitement of the jump-off and tie-breaking stories this year. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 19 August 2013 how two German teams followed up on the jump-off drama at the World Cup 2013 with their own exciting battle to the last point at a regional competition.

The 2013 season is over now for the busiest and most competitive German 4way team, and the plans for the 2014 season are almost completely finalized.

Plans for 2014 finalized: AtomiX
AtomiX will be picking up the pace and continue with the same lineup on the road to eventually compete with the best German 4way teams for the national title. The preparations for the 2014 season begin with an indoor training camp in November. Tunnel training is scheduled monthly from then on until February.

AtomiX turns to outdoor training in February 2014, and the first training camp will be held in Florida. AtomiX plans to complete 100 training jumps in the two weeks and conclude the spring training with the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014 in DeLand.

The World Challenge 2014 at Bodyflight Bedford is also on the AtomiX meet schedule. Additional 100 training jumps are supposed to follow on weekends in Germany. Hayabusa members Luc Verstrepen and David Grauwels will work with the team on the progression. It sounds like this will not be the last AtomiX update...
