The first records have been set, as the story continued after explaining the rules, and BJ Worth is now in the middle of preparations for his own first attempt at SkyQuest 2013 in DeLand in November.
The dive design for the record attempts of the Kaleidoscope Divers has been completed, and Rags Raghanti has once again created the graphics that allow the participants to study the sequence and the slots ahead of time. BJ Worth is recruiting the best lineup he can get for the 110ways in the meantime.
Roger Ponce will be in charge once again for bringing all participants back to the dropzone's landing areas at Skydive DeLand. Mike Johnston, Rob Laidlaw and Lou Tomaso are the US team captains. Alia Veselova will travel to DeLand with a large delegation from Russia.
Her husband Andrey Veselov will provide the freefall footage as in the past years, together with Henny Wiggers and Brian Festi. Mansur Mustafin from Russia switches from 4way filming to bigway for the occasion, as his last team SportLoto has been in hibernation this year.
The first Kaleidoscope Dives are scheduled for Thursday, November 21st. The annual SkyQuest 4way competition, the NSL Championship, begins with the competition on Friday at noon and runs parallel with the bigway sequentials. The judges will switch from big- to 4way on a regular basis.
SkyQuest 2013 begins with a reception at the Clarion Hotel where BJ Worth will introduce team captains, videographers, judges and participants. He will also get the first briefing out of the way in a festive atmosphere at the popular hotel where the competition draw for the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship also takes place every year. Registration for the event is in progress.
