Neither NRG nor Whooops won a round by more than one point. They tied their scores in the jump-off Round 11 and shared the highest score of the meet in Round 5. Eventually, NRG's 15-pointer in Round 8 broke the tie.
The same story mentioned that Whooops, Dutch national team since 2010, knew of the NRG strength, as both teams have been competing with and against each other since 2006.
NRG had taken a long break after the end of the 2009 season and came back with the same lineup that competed at the team's last previous meet, the World Cup 2009 in Prostejov.

NRG did not leave the 4way world for a while without leaving a lasting impression, as the story on 29 September 2009 explained.
Team member Rogier Carper was an IPC Delegate for the Netherlands for a long time and had some ideas for the IPC Competition Committee...
Former Pulse member Gerhard Schut had replaced original NRG member Milo Pieters at the beginning of the 2009 season, which included the NRG record average of 16.0 for the 2nd place behind Dynamic Fource at the Dutch Nationals.
NRG now came back with the same 2009 lineup and won the national title for the first time after this year's jump-off and tie-breaking drama.

Paul Hofstee and Bert Hajee provided the guidance from experiences with their own Punky Fish player coaching projects.
Leander van Schriek and Rogier Carper then invited Jaap Keuter and Milo Pieters at the end of 2005 to join a new team, and NRG was born, with Marco Coenradi on camera.
The team agreed on a 4-year plan until the World Cup 2009 and started in the Dutch A Class competition of 2006.
The same lineup moved up into the AA Class for the ESL Championship 2006 and then entered the AAA Class competition in 2007.
This was also the first year for Whooops in the A Class at the same time.

The 2009 season brought the personnel change for NRG, which did not hold back the team at all. New Center Outside Gerhard Schut fit right in, and NRG accomplished all team goals that year and also attended the team's first World Cup.
Then came the NRG hibernation, and Whooops took over as the national team for the Netherlands - until the Dutch Nationals 2013.
NRG was only planning for a 1-year comeback, which includes the upcoming ISR Grand Prix 2013. The plan included five hours of indoor training and two weekends for a total of 50 training jumps.
There are no NRG plans yet for the 2014 season, however, the team considers adding another year after the surprisingly successful comeback.
