Fly Wild from Northern Ireland even won the Rookie Class competition at the UK Nationals, as the story on 5 September 2013 reported. Teams from Ireland competed in each of the four categories at the World Challenge 2013.
However, there was also traffic going the opposite direction, from the United Kingdom to Ireland. UK team Cirrus competed at the Irish Nationals 2013 and took the 1st place in the A Class competition.

Cirrus had started in the UK Rookie Class of 2012 (2.8 - 5.0 - 6.6) and moved up into the A Class with the beginning of the 2013 season. The 2013 lineup was eventually scoring higher at the end of this year's competition season than in the Rookie Class last year.
Irish team Taranis, AA Class winner at the Irish Nationals, had attended the World Challenge in April and then the three UKSL meets before winning the national gold medals in August without any other teams in this category.
Ireland's national team attended four meets in 2011, including Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship and World Challenge, and won the national championships for the second time. Fast Air came back in 2012 and competed at three meets, including the World Challenge, before traveling to Dubai for the Mondial 2012.
