Did You Know...

... that Sunday turned out to be a Hayabusa Reality TV day?

Jump preparations for Round 3
posted Dec 1st, 2013 - The 4way day at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 begins with an NSL Reality TV video clip that features NMP-PCH Hayabusa with the complete turnaround of Round 3.

The Sun Path Products NSL News followed the Belgian top contender from the team's tent to the creeper pad for the jump preparations and then to the boarding area. The Hayabusa feature story was briefly interrupted when one of the Arabian pet animals, a falcon, caught the attention of the Hayabusa members on the way to the boarding area.

The story continued when the team came back by speed boat from the landing area on the other side of the Palm Jumeirah island. Team videographer Danny Jacobs downloaded the video file after returning from the Omniskore dubbing station, and coach Gary Smith had a debriefing and timing session with the team.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa is far ahead of the rest of the field, as it was expected. Barkli from Russia is actually putting up great numbers on the scoreboard in 2nd place and is still not able to keep pace with the Belgians.

It was not an easy year so far for Hayabusa. Andy Grauwels needed surgery at the beginning of the year to take care of an abdominal issue that he has been dealing with for a while. The team had to wait for a while until he was back in action and missed the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013 this year.

Then Roy Janssen recently had a problem with a chest/shoulder muscle that acted up for a while. Hayabusa managed to make it through the CISM Championship 2013, and Roy Janssen needed a lot of resting time for the injured muscle. The team is glad that those problems are out of the way, and they look forward to training and competing for and throughout a healthier 2014 season. One more round of 4way competition is coming today, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up with a summary of the day.
