Did You Know...

... that Perris Fury's 59-pointer is available on NSL-TV?

New leader: Perris Fury - see 59-pointer
posted Apr 4th, 2009 - Well, the leader of the pack stands with a 34.8 average after four rounds, not too bad...

The surprise comes with the name of the leader: Perris Fury. The underdog has turned into the top contender within two rounds. After a disappointing Round 2, Fury showed already in Round 3 how much mental strength the Perris team actually has. The highscore in Round 3 paid back for the pain in Round 2 and brought apparently the motivation to go even further.

The 59-pointer in Round 4 was the best of Perris Fury ever and came all in one jump. It brought the second sole highscore and the top of the leaderboard by one point over Airspeed.

Christy Frikken and Chris Farina after Round 5
The NSL-TV camera was in the tunnel at the right time after missing many of the previous world class tunnel sessions. Hayabusa Defence and Perris Fury showed off their brilliant skills in fast sequences of random formations right in front of the NSL-TV camera, and the video has already been uploaded. The same sequence was shaking up the leaderboard significantly. France Maubeuge members mentioned already earlier that they were not very happy with their performance in Round 4 after a good start. They lost 15 points in one round to Perris Fury with their 44-pointer and slid down to 5th position.

The judges are now working on the scores for Round 5, which will finish the first day of the World Challenge 2009. Stay tuned for even more scores today.

France Maubeuge gets used to the tunnel

NSL-TV video shows rounds from the judging perspective

The scores for Round 2 are obviously on the leaderboard, and the three top positions currently mirror the situation at the end of the World Meet 2008 in France.

France Maubeuge seems to be much better so far at the team's first indoor competition than the team members and the coaches expected.

It is only a 1-point difference after two rounds. XL is not the top challenger this year, at least not at the moment. France and Hayabusa have managed to stay closer to Airspeed.

Pussy Galore in trouble - see video
An interesting competition takes place between Aerokart Deep Blue and Pussy Galore, Claire "Sparky" Scott's lineup with current and former world champion team mates Hannah Betts, Tarnya Hollis and Amanda Kemp. The French team is up by one point so far.

The latest NSL-TV video, which has just been uploaded, shows several videos of Round 1 from the judging perspective. The NSL News also met the Pussy Galore members in the viewing area and reminded them on the urgency of the Fun Flag situation.

The scores of Round 3 will follow very soon, the teams are already in the middle of the incredibly fast Round 4. The NSL-TV camera already captured some footage of top teams scoring in the 50's. Stay tuned.
