Did You Know...

... that Sebastian Tempest members are responsible for this weekend's competition draw?

Rookie Class winner DiZaster
posted May 23rd, 2009 - The videos of Rounds 5 and 6 of the Florida Skydiving League meet last weekend in Sebastian wrap up the coverage of this event. The first four rounds were already part of the NSL News stories on 16 May 2009 and 18 May 2009.

The FSL Rookie Class teams caught most of the attention, and the only AAA Class team in Sebastian, home team Tempest, posted a 13.8 average almost unnoticed. By the way: the teams of the Colorado Skydiving League have now been added to last weekend's leaderboard, as well, and another Rookie Class team joined the competition.

Relativity is a new lineup in Colorado and outscored two of the FSL teams. DiZaster from Skydive City defended the top position in the Rookie Class successfully.

Kris Peterson and Gilles Dutrisac blame it on each other...
The NSL News invited two Sebastian Tempest members for a special and very important chore to the NSL office this week. Center Inside Kris Peterson and Point Gilles Dutrisac took the responsibility for the new competition draw, which will challenge many teams this weekend.

The NSL News decided to let the on-line audience witness the live competition draw from the hat and combined the draw with a casual conversation with the Sebastian Tempest members. The live competition draw with guests in the NSL office may become a new and regular feature for the NSL News.

The ten rounds were not really drawn from the hat. It was actually an Aerodyne Rookie Class trophy that served as the holy gral for the little blocks with numbers and letters. The competition draw pops up at 9 pm on Fridays on the NSL website. CamScore provides the artwork and the program for the printouts.

UK teams at the ESL Championship 2008
CamScore is probably back in action this weekend, as the United Kingdom Skydiving League opens its 2009 season. Andy Scott, former league manager and new chair of BPA's competition committee, reported that he expects more than 20 teams at the UKSL meet this weekend.

Kris Peterson and Gilles Dutrisac said that their team would be training this weekend. They will most likely use their own competition draw for the training camp. They left the office without a copy of it though and had to wait until Friday evening as all the other teams.

The NSL News will post the first scores as soon as possible and update the leaderboard throughout the weekend.
