posted Jan 16th, 2014 - The field of teams competing at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014 in DeLand at the beginning of March includes many national teams who will represent their countries at this year's world meet in the Czech Republic. One of them is the VAF Warriors who will compete for Denmark at both events.

The VAF Warriors were formed at the beginning of the 2013 season and introduced with the story on 8 March 2013. It was a preview of the World Challenge that brought the attention to the new 4way team in Denmark.

The Sun Path Products NSL News finally broke the news that Denmark has a new national team on, the VAF Warriors, 30 October 2013 and followed up after the Danish Indoor Championships 2013 with the story on 4 November 2013.

The VAF Warriors now updated the Sun Path Products NSL News with the team plans for the 2014 season, which include the Paraclete XP double header with the Indoor and Outdoor Championships. The Danish team is coming back in 2014 with the same lineup that was selected as the national team at the end of the 2013 season.

There are still significant changes in the team. Anne Mine Moller-Petersen and John "John-John" Behrendt Petersen have switched their slots. Last year's Center Inside John Behrendt Petersen is going back to his tail slot that he was flying for five years before he joined Veyron and then the VAF Warriors.

Mine Petersen is the new center inside for the VAF Warriors. It is the fourth different slot in four years for her (point - center outside - tail - center inside). The VAF Warriors think that the amount of experience in the rear piece will be very helpful and valuable for sequences with slot switchers and will make the team stronger.

Center outside Martin Soeby Mikkelsen said that the last meet in 2013, the Danish Indoor Championship, was a very good competition for the VAF Warriors: "It really highlighted the fact that we have been doing way better in competition than in training. So we are doing everything we can to keep that momentum."

His team visited Bodyflight Bedford for indoor training in December and January and worked with coach Joey Jones on individual flying skills and some block techniques. They brought team videographer Anders Krabbenhoeft to the indoor camps and spent some quality time together. He also worked on his basic skills with Joey Jones and even did some 4ways with the team.

More indoor training at Paraclete XP will follow before the Indoor Championship, followed by training jumps before the Outdoor Championship in DeLand. Solly Williams will work with the team at that time. The World Challenge 2014 is the last indoor competition before the preparations for the world meet begin, with training camps in Hartenholm, Germany, from a Cessna Caravan, which is the jump plane for the Danish Nationals. The annual DFU Open is the second outdoor competition before the national championships. Then it's "all eyes on the World Meet", as Martin Soeby Mikkelsen finished his update.
