Did You Know...

... that the Czech teams are pushing the Skydive Arena to the top of the Indoor Cloud League?

posted Jan 28th, 2014 - The 4way teams in the Czech Republic have probably the busiest meet schedule of all teams and competitors in the world of Formation Skydiving competition, and they cannot get enough of it, as it seems.

The Sun Path Products NSL News publishes regular updates from the Czech Republic since Jan Klapka provides activities for his 4way following all the time. There is no painful winter break for the passionate 4way fans after the outdoor season in the summer, with indoor meets and Indoor Cloud League events taking place on a regular basis at the Skydive Arena in Prague.

The most recent story on 20 January 2014 covered the January competition for teams in all four traditional NSL categories and with the complete dive pool. It did not take too long until Jan Klapka also provided the scores and videos for the January sequences of the Indoor Cloud League, and the Skydive Arena has taken the lead for the moment.

Scores in two categories: Impact
Jan Klapka and his Indoor Cloud League activities benefit from the team situation in the Czech Republic where most of the teams participate in the 4way meets and also in the monthly ICL competition. In fact, there is an internal competition between the teams for the honor to get the ICL scores posted for the Skydive Arena and the Czech Republic.

12 Czech teams have participated in the ICL January competition and provided their videos and scores for mostly two sequences. The ICL rules allow each team to compete in two neighboring categories, as both sequences would usually fit into the category that each team competes in at other outdoor or indoor meets.

The Bad Boyz had the highest scores for the AAA (J-D-15-6) and the AA Class (J-D-Q-6) sequences. The AA Class sequence could either be drawn in a AAA/Open Class competition or for a AA/Intermediate Class event. The same counts for the A Class sequence (J-D-6), which could be a AA Class sequence, as well.

Scores in two categories: SDA Chicks
Impact was the second Czech team with the honor of posting scores for the Skydive Arena in two neighboring categories (A Class and Rookie AAA). It was a close call though, at least in the A Class. Best of Relative was only one point behind Impact with a 14-pointer. Accord and Drop-ky both had 12-pointers in the A Class, and Rookie Class team Kamerun tried the A Class sequence with a 9-pointer.

Impact's 21-pointer in the Rookie AAA Class was as unchallenged by other Czech teams as the Bad Boyz scores in AAA and AA. The CZ Ladies, new national team in the female 4way category, performed AAA (17) and AA (19) as well and could not get close to the Bad Boyz. Soft4way (14) and Accord (13) also flew the AA Class sequence for January.

Finally, the SDA Chicks won the internal competition in the Rookie A (19) and the Rookie AA (27) Class. The second score of 25+ now forces the SDA Chicks out of the Rookie A Class competition. Rookie Class team Hoofs even tried to win any of the three Rookie Class categories (AAA 11 - AA 13 - A 14) and finished short in each of them. Hoofs may get their turn now after the SDA Chicks have to move up...
