Did You Know...

... that Fast Arrows is the busiest team of the 2009 season so far?

Fast Arrows last weekend in the Czech Republic
posted May 30th, 2009 - One of last weekend's nine events was the season opener in the Czeck Republic. Actually, it was the first outdoor competition for the Czech 4-way teams, as league manager Jan Klapka had already organized the 2nd Czech Indoor Championship at Bodyflight Bedford in April.

Eight teams competed in three competition classes. It was the first outdoor competition where the Czech teams had the option to sign up for the AA Class. The three teams that competed in the AA Class last weekend, Fast Arrows, All 41 and Monkeys Sky Walkers, had all competed in the A Class throughout the 2008 season and moved up into the new competition class together.

Last weekend's competition was already the 4th meet for Fast Arrows, which stands for the record participation of all teams worldwide this year, at this point in time. Fast Arrows attended the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2009, the World Challenge 2009, the Czech Indoor Championship and last weekend's event. The first of the two NSL YouTube TV videos shows four of Fast Arrows' jumps at the Shamrock Showdown.

Bad Boys with new record average
The same three teams also finished in exactly the same order as they came in at the last two meets of the 2008 season in the A Class. All teams that competed in the Czech Republic finished in very respectable positions on last weekend's complete leaderboard, beginning with AAA Class team Bad Boyz in 6th place of 31 teams and ending with the new Rookie Class lineup Relative in 11th place of 16 teams.

The Bad Boyz continue with their consistent progression, as the chart with the team's scores since 2005 shows. The same lineup and consistent training have brought the Bad Boyz to a position in the Czech Republic where they will probably be a serious challenger of the reigning 4-way champions and national team, Skyservice, at this year's national championship in August.

The Czech Republic is also hosting the FAI World Cup 2009 this year, which is scheduled a few weeks after the Czech Nationals 2009. Bad Boyz and Skyservice will both have the opportunity to compete on their home turf in a major event. The NSL News will bring the FAI World Cup 2009 to the on-line audience live from the competition site, once again together with the CamScore services.

Czech Rookie Class teams
Skyservice did not compete last weekend, however, there was another Czech team in the AAA Class. Accord had attended all four meets of the 2008 season with the highest meet average of 4.7 and now broke the 5.0 average benchmark for the first time.

Two new Rookie Class lineups joined the All 41 Ladies who had already attended the 2nd Czech Indoor Championship in April this year. The Czech All 41 Ladies finished in 2nd place of 16 Rookie Class teams last weekend on the overall leaderboard, while the All 41 lineup took the 9th place of 24 teams in the AA Class competition.

The new Touch Team impressed, as well, with a 7.0 average at the first competition and took the 4th place of the international Rookie Class leaderboard.
