posted Feb 4th, 2014 - The Sun Path Products NSL News has covered the team career of Carolina Turbo XP with many stories since the team was formed for its first competition season in 2009. The last update came actually with the November edition of the Blue Skies Mag and the TURNING POINTS column. "The Turbo Tale" was then re-posted on 7 November 2013.

The story on 20 December 2013 finally broke the news that the young team will also manage the Carolina Skydiving League beginning with the 2014 season. Carolina Turbo XP recently published the meet schedule for the Carolina region, and it was still not the end of the recent Turbo story.

In fact, the latest news are actually the most exciting ones, as Turbo also announced a change in the team's lineup. Former Arizona Airspeed alternate Nick Grillet is the new team member.

Team speaker Andrew Happick informed the Sun Path Products NSL News officially of the personnel change: "We are happy to announce that Nick Grillet will be taking the Tail slot on Carolina Turbo XP. Nick has a lot to offer and brings a lot to the team."

Andrew Happick continues in the Point slot, Doug Barron is the Center Outside, Joey Freeman the Center Inside, with Nick Grillet as the new Tail. Chad Wilcox is still filming the team.

The Carolina Turbo XP members are happy to get back into the swing of things, and they are excited to see what this year will bring for Turbo. Indoor training was scheduled for January and through February, along with a few training jumps. The full training schedule will resume at the end of February, before Turbo attends the first outdoor competition at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014 in DeLand.

Andrew Happick said that he and his team mate Doug Barron have also joined the XP8 team for the 2014 season. XP8 launched a tunnel intensive training schedule in October 2013 and continues with indoor training through the cold months and until the outdoor season begins. The 8way training schedule will not interfere with Turbo's 4way plans.

Carolina Turbo XP has been running the team's usual tunnel camps at Paraclete XP throughout the winter months, and the next one is coming up this weekend. Interested skydivers and tunnel flyers can contact Andrew Happick directly by E-mail.

Turbo will kick off the activities of the Carolina Skydiving League on May 10th on their home turf at Skydive Carolina in Chester. Andrew Happick said that his own new lineup will compete, together with a Paraclete XP 4way lineup and probably also with the Golden Knights lineup in the female 4way categeory. Golden Knights and Turbo with the new lineup will post the first 2014 scores at the Paraclete XP indoor and outdoor double header.
