Did You Know...

... that Golden Knights and Aerodyne French Girls will also face off two times during the Paraclete week?

Same lineup - same team name: Team4speed
posted Feb 21st, 2014 - Two of the four French national Formation Skydiving competition teams have changed their names for the 2014 season. The 4way Open Class team competes under "Volt'R", while "Venturi" is the new name in 8way.

The other two teams are coming back with the same lineups and with the same names (Aerodyne French Girls, Team4speed).

Several previews have covered the 4way Open Class competition at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014, and the Sun Path Products NSL News story on 13 January 2014 provided a preview of the 8way competition.

The upcoming VFS 4way competition in DeLand between Team4speed and Evolution received an update on 19 February 2014, while the world class showdown between Golden Knights and Aerodyne French Girls in 4way Women has not been covered yet.

Paraclete XP Outdoor 2014

Who will win in 4way Women?

Aerodyne French Girls
Golden Knights
European bronze medals for Fire in Banja Luka 2013
Other than in 8way and VFS 4way, the showdown between the two best female 4way teams in the world is not just a duel situation.

The Swedish national team Fire has also signed up for the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014, and this AAA Class category will also have its own leaderboard.

All three teams in 4way Women are coming back with the same lineups and the same team names. Fire missed the final round at the Mondial Dubai 2012 only by a single point with a 13.6 average.

Fire's 14.4 average at the national championships in 2013 brought the bronze medals.

Fire followed up with more bronze medals after a jumpoff round with Russia at the European Championship in Banja Luka.

Winter training in Eloy: Aerodyne French Girls
The Swedish national team will not be able to keep up with the reigning French world champions in this category and the Golden Knights.

However, Fire is surely aiming at the final round at the world meet this year and will set the pace at the outdoor season opener.

The situation between the two top teams seems to be more challenging for the Golden Knights who have not trained much this year so far.

Their new coach Solly Williams spent some time with the US Army team at the end of the 2013 season before planning for 2014. There was some indoor training, and there will be a few jumps to warm up before the competition in DeLand.

The Aerodyne French Girls on the other side have been in training throughout the winter season, including a training camp in Arizona at the end of January.

23.7 at Wind Games: Aerodyne French Girls
The French team has also posted their first scores at the Wind Games 2014, which took some performance pressure of their shoulders early in the year. The 23.7 average was a good start into the 2014 season.

Both teams will face off in Raeford at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2014 before the trip to DeLand follows. A good performance at the indoor competition will bring confidence to the winning team.

On the other hand, the team in 2nd place will be able to follow Niklas Hemlin's wisdom that "you don't win a world championship in the wind tunnel". No matter what, there is a very exciting competition week waiting for the Sun Path Products NSL News audience...
